Feb 09, 2012 Best Answer: Go to where you saved the files. If you don't remember where, on your torrent client's list, right click on what you downloaded and see the properties. There is a choice to go to or open the containing folder. When you are in the folder, check the format of the file.

- How Magnet Links Are Different From.Torrent Files. When you download a.torrent file, you're essentially downloading a small file that contains information on the larger files you want to download.
- First you need a BitTorrent client, a program that will enable you to connect to other users (or peers) and thereby download the files you want to. Our favourites are: Windows – uTorrent, Mac.
- Torrents allow you to download virtually any type of file to your Android device, but not all files that you download will work on your Android device. For example, downloading an EXE file won't do you any good, since that is a Windows-only file.

When I try to download a torrent file I don't get prompted by Ubuntu 12.04 to select the location where to save the file, instead I get asked to select an application (which I'm not able to select for whatever reason). If anyone could help out with this it would be greatly appreciated. Please note that I've installed Ubuntu two days ago and I'm completely new to the thing.Explain as if you were talking to a 5 years old kid. Or a golden retriever. Thanks in advance
